Dr Katharine Vincent and Ms Tracy Cull are currently in Lamu, Kenya, where they are training WWF staff to undertake Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments. WWF manages the East Africa Conservation Network Initiative, which comprises 9 seascape/landscapes. As part of its commitment to adaptation, WWF will be undertaking Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments in a number of its seascape/landscapes, including Lamu. On completion of the training, Katharine and Tracy will provide on-site mentoring for the start of the participatory exercises in the community, and then provide off-site support in the analysis and writing up of the findings.
