Kulima directors in Zambia to run workshop on forests and climate adaptation

forestDr Katharine Vincent and Ms Tracy Cull are in Lusaka this week to facilitate a workshop of government representatives who will be deciding upon the particular design of activites to take place within the remit of a forest adaptation project in Zambia.  In conjunction with FAO, they are supporting the development of a project concept note for submission to the Least Developed Countries Fund. A number of southern African countries, including Malawi and Zambia, are participating in the development of a regional programme on forests, rangelands and climate change adaptation, first conceived of at a regional workshop hosted by FAO and SADC in Johannesburg in June 2013. This visit builds on an earlier scoping trip to inform stakeholders of the planned project.
