Kulima director in Leeds for ESRC seminar on climate change adaptation

Leeds seminarDr Katharine Vincent is currently in Leeds where she is participating in a seminar on climate change adaptation at the University of Leeds. The seminar forms part of an ESRC-funded series on "Interdisciplinary exchanges: Natural resource management in the 21st century" which is led by Dr Chasca Twyman from the University of Sheffield, and also includes the universities of Leeds and Newcastle. Katharine will be sharing her experiences of local adaptation from various countries in southern Africa, including South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia.

Kulima directors synthesising outputs of the Africa Climate Change Fellowship Program

disaster risk reductionDr Katharine Vincent and Ms Tracy Cull are producing synthesis papers from the outputs of the Africa Climate Change Fellowship Program (ACCFP). The ACCFP promotes innovative adaptation research in Africa through pairing researchers with mentors to implement individually-designed projects. The latest round called for proposals under the themes of climate change and disaster risk, climate change and food security and climate change and health. One synthesis paper will be produced for each of these themes, based on the findings from the individual research projects.
