Scoping studies

Both Kulima directors are well-networked (both internationally and regionally; and within academic, policy and practice communities) within their fields of expertise, particularly vulnerability and adaptation to climate change, disaster risk reduction, food security and social protection.  They are thus well-placed to undertake scoping studies. Recent examples include:

-Inventory of Disaster Risk Management initiatives and lessons learned in climate change adaptation for agriculture, forestry and fisheries in 10 sub-Saharan African countries

Undertaken for FAO, Rome (2009).

Climate change and food security mapping in the Southern African Development Community

Undertaken for the Danish Development Research Network (2009, with the appendices updated in 2010).
