Dr Katharine Vincent has been in Cape Town this week to participate in a writeshop as part of the Science for adaptation: Learning and innovation in evidence about future climate (SALIENT) project. SALIENT is a multi-partner initiative led by Dr Rachel James at the University of Bristol, as part of a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship. Kulima has been contributing to the project, along with the Universities of LeedsCape TownPretoriaTU Delft, the Met Office and Climate Outreach.

The writeshop has advanced various analyses and intended outputs relating to “climate futures science” that the project has been developing over the past few years. It also provided the opportunity to ensure continued synergies between SALIENT and other initiatives in which Kulima is involved, including Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CLARE) Behavioural Adaptation for Water Security and Inclusion (BASIN).
