Dr Katharine Vincent is currently in Lilongwe to continue stakeholder consultations as part of the preparation of a project document for a GEF LDCF-funded project on “Implementing urgent adaptation priorities through strengthened decentralized and national development plans” (ADAPT-PLAN)" that will be implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Management, with support from UNDP. A workshop will take place, attended by relevant technical staff from the three target districts (Nkhata Bay, Ntcheu and Zomba) in order to define tangible local adaptation activities and ensure that adaptation is actively incorporated in the production of the next, and subsequent, district development plans.
