Ms Tracy Cull is currently in Centurion, South Africa, for a regional outreach meeting on the IPCC's Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation. The workshop is organised by the IPCC, Government of Norway and South Africa's Department of Environmental Affairs and will be attended by policy-makers and practitioners from eastern and southern Africa. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss key findings of the report and their implication for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in the region.
