This week Katharine Vincent is participating in the CLARExchange meeting in Lusaka. CLARExchange brings together the range of projects that are part of the Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CLARE) programme, funded by FCDO and IDRC.
Kulima is participating in two CLARE projects. Behavioural Adaptation for Water Security and Inclusion (BASIN) is led by the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science. BASIN is using insights from behavioural and psychological sciences to research adaptation behaviours and practices. The transdisciplinary team comprises practice-based partners who are keen to use these insights to support adaptation for inclusive water security.
Gender equality and inclusion: Distribution and costs of adaptation (ECONOGENESIS) is led by Paul Watkiss Associates. ECONOGENESIS is analysing adaptation costs and financing from a GESI and distributional perspective. Initial analysis was cited in the Adaptation Gap Report 2023: Underfinanced. Underprepared. Inadequate investment and planning on climate adaptation leaves world exposed and the The Adaptation Finance Gap Update 2023.
