Katharine Vincent is in Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand, this week to participate in the Adaptation Futures 2025 conference. Adaptation Futures is hosted by the World Adaptation Science Programme and now in its 8th iteration.

Katharine will be presenting in serveral sessions. On 15th October she will be part of a session on adaptation pathways for managing complex risks, which is taking place within the health, wellbeing and future generations theme. On 16th October she will be part of two panels taking place within the cities, settlements and infrastructure theme. The first is a panel on how an intersectional lens on weather and climate information services can promote equitable adaptation; and the second is a panel on monitoring, evaluating and learning for adaptation across urban and local contexts: opportunities, tensions, collaborative storytelling.

On Friday, she will be part of the post-conference workshop/wananga on accelerating climate resilient development practice, co-convened with Siri Eriksen from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and Bruce Glavovic from Massey University.
