Dr Katharine Vincent is in Geneva this week to participate in the IPCC Expert Meeting on the Task Group on Data and Scenario for Impact and Climate Analysis (TGICA). The purpose of the meeting is to consolidate inputs from various parties on the future role of TGICA in relation to the needs of the IPCC, and in the context of an evolving landscape of climate climate-related data and scenario provision. Katharine will be contributing to a panel regarding data, technical guidelines and capacity building needs in the context of emerging climate services. This follows her participation in a meeting in July 2015 in New York. Ultimately the workshop report will be presented to the upcoming 43rd session of the IPCC in April in Nairobi.
