Last week and this week, members of the Kulima team are participating in project meetings for the Food Systems Transformation in Southern Africa for One Health (FoSTA-Health) project. FoSTA-Health began in 2022 and focuses on exploring the consequences of emergent pathways of transformation in southern African food systems, with a One Health focus.

Kulima’s main focus in FoSTA-Health is stakeholder engagement and food systems mapping. In last week’s meetings, Katharine Vincent, Willem Colenbrander and Stacia Nordin met with colleagues from the University of Leeds and Czech Globe. The purpose was to advance a food systems map and plan an interactive session that will be used to structure inputs from across the project before also being used to provoke dialogue with stakeholders.

This week, Kulima is participating in the Food System Research Week at the University of Leeds. As well as running the food systems map interactive session, the team will share and hear updates of project progress in Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.
