Dr Katharine Vincent is in the UK this week to meet with colleagues at the Universities of Leeds, Sussex, Oxford and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. The "Uncertainty Reduction in Models for Understanding Development Applications" (UMFULA) project is part of the Future Climate for Africa programme, and concerned with improving climate services in Africa. Following on from the inception meeting in Cape Town in November, the meetings are concerned with planning fieldwork in Malawi and Tanzania and formalising stakeholder groups with which UMFULA hopes to work.
