Dr Katharine Vincent is in Maun this week at the second regional learning forum of the Southern African Climate Finance Partnership (SACFP). Funded by the UK's Department For International Development and Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation, SACFP is supporting Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe to develop country-owned and managed climate finance portfolios that can be financed through the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other climate finance avenues. The Regional Learning Forum is an opportunity to share experiences and Katharine will run a session on developing gender-responsive proposals that meet the criteria in the GCF's Gender Policy. This follows on from earlier training in Botswana on gender and climate change.
