Dr Katharine Vincent is currently in Kampala to undertake preliminary meetings with stakeholders to define an adaptation project concept for submission to the UNFCCC Least Developed Countries Fund. Addressing priorities identified in Uganda’s National Adaptation Programme of Action, the project will likely have components relating to the water, agriculture and health sectors. Meetings will be held with the Climate Change Unit in the Ministry of Water and Environment, other relevant government representatives, development partners and civil society organisations.
